Richard Lee Jones Jr., 57, formerly of Linesville, passed away, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born October 17, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Richard Lee Sr. and Shirley L. Ellis Jones.  He was previously married to Debra Dillinger.

Richard graduated from Linesville High School in 1974.  He then worked as a welder for General Electric in Erie and later for Tele-Post in Linesville.

He was a member of the Linesville Presbyterian Church.

Richard enjoyed playing the drums and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Survivors include his parents, Richard L. Sr. and Shirley L. Jones of Linesville; a son, Joshua A. Jones and his wife, Lece, of Springboro; a daughter, Kelly Jones of Springboro; three grandchildren, McKenzie Jones, Spencer Jarrett and Jack Ryan Jones all of Springboro; a sister, Ginny Headley and her husband, Dave, of Mercer; a nephew, Bo Headley and his wife, Heather, of Erie; and a niece, Cassie Pencek and her husband, Jarrad, of Cranberry Township.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Sandra Lou Jones.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Art Barnes of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
