Fred M. Devandry

Fred M. DeVandry Jr., 90, of Linesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his residence.

Born November 28, 1932, in Noblestown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Ferdinando and Carmella (Piazza) DeVandry.  He married Denise L. Kramer on July 26, 1957.  She preceded him in death on April 5, 2019.

Fred graduated from Allegheny High School then served our country in the U.S. Army.  He worked for Associates Finance Corporation of North America in Pittsburgh as regional manager of all of Pennsylvania until he retired.

He was a member of St. Philip Church in Linesville.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Fred enjoyed gardening and growing his Russian Giant tomatoes.

Survivors include a son, Brian M. DeVandry o Elizabeth, Colorado; three daughters, Brenda Omer and her husband, Rob, of Cranberry, Tammy DeVondry and her husband, Frank Smith, of Jupiter, Florida, and Deneen Wiencek and her husband, Pete, of Linesville; three grandchildren, Anthony Sitarik, Chelsea Omer, and Wesley Omer; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and A.J. Sitarik; great-great grandson, Ezekiel Sitarik-Brown; two sisters, Laverne Lawrence of Eighty Four and Diana Bozick and her husband, Don, of McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 61 years, Denise and his sister, Dolores Albarano.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Father Chris Hamlett officiating.  The family would like to invite everyone for a meal after the service at St. Philip Parish Center.

Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in McMurray, Pennsylvania on Thursday at 1 p.m.
