Paul G. Marsh, 92, of Juniper Village of Meadville, passed away Sunday July 28, 2013, at Rolling Fields of Conneautville after a short visit.
Born September 8, 1920 he was a son of the late George and Mary Summerfield Marsh.
Paul was one of six children, so as you can imagine, he was never bored. Since he was little, he always enjoyed being outside, especially hunting, fishing and playing golf whenever the chance arose. He attended and graduated from Linesville School District. After graduation, he enlisted in the military; he was a veteran of World War II. Being able to serve his country was one of his proudest moments of life, it was quite an honor. After his service, he worked for General Electric in Erie, PA. He was a member of Linesville United Methodist Church.
Paul was a lucky man; he was given not one but three wonderful loves in his lifetime. Yes, he was married three times; to three beautiful, loving women. Their names were Freta, Aldine, and Helen. Sadly, each of them passed on.
Paul had resided in Linesville most of his life, he also traveled often to Florida. At the age of 75 he drove to Alaska with his wife. He was very social at Juniper Village; he loved visiting and chatting with everyone. You could call him a “people person”. He never missed a party, especially if there was a dish of baked beans being served; his favorite food. He was voted Juniper Village’s Valentine’s Day King! He was also granted the honor as mayor of Shadyland Campground in Conneaut Lake. He loved jokes and simply being around others.
Survivors include a son, Richard Marsh and his wife, Shirley, of Syracuse, NY; 12 step-children, Dale Flickinger, Paul Flickinger, Dennis Flickinger, Bruce Flickinger, Donald Flickinger, Jerry Moore, Aldine Oskin, David W.
