Albert (Dick) Richard Wood

August 26, 1931 — May 10, 2022

Albert (Dick) Richard Wood, 90, of Linesville, passed away suddenly on May 10, 2022, at the Meadville Medical Center.

Born August 26, 1931, in Dicksonburg, he was the son of Harry and Evelyn (Johnson) Wood.

Dick attended Jamestown High School.  He served in the Army National Guard for one year in 1950.   For 20 years, Dick was a milk inspector for Milk Marketing Company.  He also had working in security for PPG Industries for 15 years.

He was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club, the Linesville American Legion Post 462 and the Moose Club in Florida.  He had coached little league for many years.  Dick enjoyed golfing and watching baseball.  He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane Turner (Richard) of Edgewater, Florida; three grandchildren, Jeremy Turner (Stacy) of Florida, Melanie Miller (Ryan) of Florida and Amanda Knaus of Meadville; nine great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Wood of Albion; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Christine (Wilson) Wood; a son, Richard J. Wood; and a sister, Dolores Griggs.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Linesville Cemetery with Pastor Terry Smith officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.
