Anna G. Oberdick, 91, of Linesville, passed away, Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville where she had resided for the past 3 ½ years.

Born September 16, 1922, in Penn Line, she was the daughter of Jess and Cena Powers Phelps.  She married George F. Oberdick on August 22, 1939, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1991.

She had attended Linesville High School.  For 35 years, Anna worked as a cook for the Conneaut School District.  She had also worked for over 20 years at the Driftwood Restaurant in Linesville.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church on Center Road in Conneautville.  Also, she had taught Sunday School at the Linesville Presbyterian Church.

She was formerly secretary of the Penn Line Cemetery Association.  Anna was involved in Linesville Girl Scouts as a leader.  She was a member of TOPS in Conneaut Lake.

Anna loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Janet Drienka and her husband, Joe, of Chesterland, Ohio, Elaine Kennedy and her husband, Walter, of Linesville, Dorothy Cornell and her husband, Gene, of Conneautville, David Oberdick and his wife, Sherry, of Linesville and Marlene Wineland and her husband, Bart, of Conneaut Lake; ten grandchildren, Susan Drienka, Patty Conti, Amy Turner, Michael Kennedy, James Cornell (with whom she had a special bond),  Sandy Griffin, Jason Oberdick, Kristen Monis, Mathew Wineland and Mitchell Wineland; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George F. Oberdick; an infant daughter, Barbara Oberdick; four sisters, Emma Litwiler, Helen Baker, Wauneita Thompson and Elda Shelatz; and two brothers, Floyd and Earl Phelps.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held following the calling hours on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Keith Myers officiating.

Burial will be private in Penn Line Cemetery in Conneaut Township.

The family would like to thank Rolling Fields and the Fig Street staff for the care and compassion they gave to their mother and grandmother.
