Barbara L. (Junstrom) Hunt

Barbara L. Hunt, 74, of Linesville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at her residence.

Born October 25, 1947, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Cora (Thorne) Junstrom.  She married James H. Hunt on September 1, 1973.

She was a 1965 graduate of Munhall High School.  For 44 years, she worked as an Administrative Secretary for the University of Pittsburgh and the last 10 years she was able to work at the Linesville branch office.

Barb was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church where she loved serving with the nursery and helping with Awana.  She was also a member of the First Methodist Church in Munhall.  Barb was a member of the Munhall Fire Department.

She enjoyed cooking. Barb loved and cherished her family.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, James Hunt of Linesville; a son, Jay Hunt and his wife, Kristy, of Linesville; a step-daughter, Charlene David and her husband, Danny, of Pittsburgh; grandsons, Ryan, Matthew and A.J. Hunt; step-granddaughter, Brandy David of Baltimore, Maryland; a step-grandson, Ryan David of Texas; her siblings, Gilbert Junstrom Jr., Donald Junstrom, Cora Petruzzi and David Junstrom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diane Koch.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Linesville First Baptist Church, 6114 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville with Pastor Larry Hiles and Pastor Terry Smith co-officiating.  Additional calling will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
