Bart K. Wineland

Bart K. Wineland, 61, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, due to complications of a fall while hunting.

Born August 28, 1960, in Meadville he was the son of Ronald and Lois (Hart) Wineland.  He married Marlene Oberdick on October 25, 1980, at the Linesville United Methodist Church.

He was a 1978 graduate of Meadville High School.  He then graduated from Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh in 1980.  Bart worked for Texas Instruments for 10 years at the Altoona Field Service.  For 28 years, he worked at Allegheny College in Technical Network Services on campus.

Bart was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church where he served several times as a deacon.  He belonged to numerous shooting clubs.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring Volkswagen buses.  Bart loved their dog, Lassie.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Marlene Wineland of Conneaut Lake; two sons, Matthew Wineland and his wife, Julie, of Conneautville and Mitchell Wineland of Conneaut Lake; several nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished very much; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ronda Harrison.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Linesville First Baptist Church, 6114 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Linesville First Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Hiles and Pastor Terry Smith co-officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
