Carl L. Stiltner

Carl L. Stiltner, 86, of Conneautville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, at his residence.

Born July 27, 1938 in Phelps, Kentucky (Pike County), he was the son of Don and Gladys (Raines) Stiltner.  He married Beatrice A. Workman on March 12, 1960 in Vermilion, Ohio.  She preceded him in death on May 17, 2007.

He retired in 1989 from Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio.  After retirement, he moved to Conneautville.

Carl enjoyed classic cars, woodworking and building things with his hands.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Norma Jean Kroledge and her husband, Tony, of Linesville, Cheryl Diener and her husband, Terry, of Vermilion, Ohio and Carla Stiltner of Conneautville.  He was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nine siblings, Friendless Stiltner, Jim Stiltner, Gatha Sykes, Ella Pike, Margaret Beasley, Lucille Nier, Donna McKinney, Patty Johnson and Debra Stiltner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five siblings, Harold Stiltner, Eddy Stiltner, William White, Sara Dotson and Maggie Stiltner, a grandson, Carlo Ernandes, and a great-grandson, Alexander Lintz.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 12 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
