Carol L. (Zorn) Fizer

Carol L. Fizer (Zorn), 74, of Linesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born September 20, 1941, in Meadville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Phillips Zorn.  She married Peter Fizer on May 8, 1962, in Dillon, South Carolina.

She was a 1960 graduate of Linesville-Conneaut-Summit High School.

In her younger years, she worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington D.C. for several years.  Carol worked for Dr. S.E. Moutsos in Meadville for over 20 years.

She was a past member of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 Ladies Auxiliary.

Carol enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing and camping.  She loved her dog Peanut.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Peter Fizer; four children, Greg Fizer of Douglasville, Georgia, Diane Lowe of Youngstown, Ohio, Douglas Fizer of Linesville and Scott Fizer of Cambridge Springs; six grandchildren, Travis and Christopher Fizer, Matthew and Kara Lowe, Samantha and Erin Fizer; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Lowe Miller, Devin Fizer and Zoe Lowe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton of the Linesville and Harmonsburg United Methodist Churches officiating.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Rd., Meadville, Pa 16335 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
