Carol Annette (Nutt) Leach

Carol Annette Leach, 76, of Linesville, passed away, Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at her residence.

Born March 16, 1938, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Charles and Cleo Terrill Nutt.  She married Francis J. (Herk) Leach on December 10, 1960 in Winchester, Virginia.

She was a 1956 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and then attended Grove City College.

Carol retired from the Tel-O-Post Company in Linesville.  She had previously worked for Ted Wilson Real Estate and the Linesville District Justice.

She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church.  Carol was a member of the Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Station 3 and was a lifetime member of Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department, Station 5.

In her spare time, Carol enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and traveling.  She cherished her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Francis J. (Herk) Leach; a son, Shawn Leach of Linesville; two grandchildren, Dylan and Karsyn Leach; a brother-in-law, Tim Leach and his companion, Kathy Utz of Linesville; a cousin, Paula Gunsallus and her husband, Butch, of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Laurie Ann Leach, who passed away February 11, 1990; a sister, Patricia Flack; and a brother-in-law, Ray Flack.

As per her wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no calling hours.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, or to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd., both of Meadville, Pa 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
