Charles David Michaels

Charles David Michaels, 80, of Linesville, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Wesbury Retirement Community in Meadville.

Born October 1, 1939, in Conneaut Township, he was the son of Clarence and Frances (Weaver) Michaels.  He married Frances Fink on June 4, 1965, in Linesville.

He was a 1957 graduate of Linesville High School. Chuck served our country in the United States Army from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1965.

For over 35 years, he worked as a truck driver for various companies and retired from ABF Freight.

He was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church, the Teamsters Union, the Pymatuning Sportsmen’s Club and was a lifetime member of Linesville American Legion Post 462.

Chuck enjoyed riding his John Deere tractor and took pride in caring for his lawn.  He loved helping others and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Frances Michaels; a son, David Michaels; two daughters, Tracey Shultz and her husband, Michael, and Kristen Michaels; two grandsons, Christopher Shultz and Jonathan Shultz; a sister, Mildred Prouty; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Edward Michaels.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be follow at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at funeral home with Rev. Jim Tubbs officiating.  Full military honors will follow at the funeral home.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville United Methodist Church, PO Box 86 or the Pymatuning Sportsmen’s Club, 3624 W. Erie St., both of Linesville, Pa 16424.
