Charles Richard Morelli, 73, of Espyville, and formerly a resident of Rolling Fields in Conneautville, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie. He had moved to the Espyville area in 1990.
Born September 4, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Paul and Sophie Cepak Morelli. He married Cooky M. Wadsworth on March 10, 1979 in Windsor, Ohio. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2014.
He was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville. Charles graduated from Bowling Green University in Ohio. He retired as a machinist and had worked for several companies in the Cleveland area.
Charles loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland sports teams and especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved cooking for family and friends and liked reading about gold mining and gunsmithing. He enjoyed going fishing with his wife and loved his dogs.
Survivors include; a son, Michael Morelli and his wife, Kelly, of Gloucester, Virginia; a daughter, Lisa Daniel of Westlake, Ohio; a step-daughter, Katherine Sayre of Lake Elsinore, California; seven grandchildren, Ryan Sybrandt, Brody and Ali Morelli, Matthew Morelli Daniel, Kayla and Bryanna Morelli Daniel and Jayden Morelli McVay; a brother, Dennis Morelli; and a sister, Paulette Petrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant. The family will receive friends before the Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Roman Catholic Church.
