Daniel J. Mcfetridge

Daniel J. McFetridge, 89, of Espyville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 24, 2023, at his residence.

Born August 31, 1933, in Braddock, he was the son of Richard and Mary (McAllister) McFetridge.  He married Margaret (Peggy) McDonnell on June 18, 1960.

He served in the United States Army from 1954 until he was honorably discharged in 1956. For 40 years, Daniel worked at Edgar Thomson U.S. Steel Works in Braddock and retired in 1993. He was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Margaret (Peggy) McFetridge; two sons, Kevin McFetridge of Espyville and Kenneth (Sigrid) McFetridge of Peters Township; four grandchildren, Daniel, Jillian, Michaela and Adam; a great-granddaughter, Lillian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and John and two nephews, Terrance and Richard.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.

Burial with full military honors will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
