Donald H. Morgan, 91, of Linesville, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 20, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Robert and Amelia (Koehne) Morgan. He married Arlene Bartholomew on December 8, 1955.
He served our country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Don had worked for Union Carbide Corporation as a heavy equipment operator. He also had worked as Chief of Police in Conneaut Township as well as in Conneautville, Pennsylvania.
In his younger years, he was a Cub Scout leader in Linesville. He was a member of the Linesville American Legion Post 462.
Don had a passion for baseball and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting with his sons, gardening, crossword puzzles, and Polkas. At a young age he had a love for horses and helped his daughter take care of her horses for many years. He also had a special bond with his faithful little dog, Kinder. Don was known for landscaping the names of his family in his field. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Arlene Morgan; his children, Donald Morgan of Mexico, Daryle Morgan (Deceased), Karen Urbanick of Linesville, Michelle Galle and her husband, Ron, of Meadville, David Morgan and his wife, Monica, of Conneaut Lake, and Daniel Morgan of Linesville; five grandchildren, Tyler Urbanick, Christian Morgan and his wife, Sayuri, Heaven Buraszeski and her husband, Andrew, Livia Morgan and Blake Morgan; a great-grandson, Liam Morgan; a sister, Barbara Wilson of Meadville of whom he had a special bond and he looked forward to her phone calls every Sunday and Wednesday; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daryle Morgan; a sister, Virginia Bryan; and three brothers, Robert, Earl and Louis Morgan.
Services will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville, PA 16424.
