Doris Mae Morrell, 89, of Linesville, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Whitecliff Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, where she had resided the last six years.

Born August 21, 1925, in Conneaut Lake, she was the daughter of Earl and Marie Lynce Urey.

She married Harold F. Morrell on September 25, 1949 in Kentucky.  He preceded her in death on May 9, 1989.

Doris was of the Catholic faith.

She had attended Conneaut Lake High School.  Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker.

She was a lifetime member of the Summit Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  Also, she was a member of the Linesville Senior Center.

Doris enjoyed painting ceramics, gardening and her flower beds and loved cooking for family and friends.  She cherished spending time with her children and all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Pitts and her husband, Earl, of Hartstown; a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Morrell of Conneaut Lake; three grandchildren, Diane Boyd, Eric Pitts and Dan Morrell; four great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Abbott of Conneaut Lake and Virginia Dubrawsky of Meadville; a brother, Jack Urey of Conneaut Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Chester Earl Morrell; a sister, Betty Fuller; and a brother, Albert Urey.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Boyd of LifeSong Family Ministries in Lewisburg, Tennessee and great grandson of Doris officiating.

Burial will be private next to her husband in Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.
