Edward S. Davis

Edward S. Davis, 87, of Linesville, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at his residence.
Born April 17, 1925 in Linesville, Pa, he was a son of the late Harry W. Davis and Zella I. Rose Davis.
He was a graduate of Linesville High School. Edward worked as a carpenter at local union 171 in Ohio.
He was of the Protestant faith.  He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a past member of Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 and Linesville American Legion Post 462.
Edward served our country in the U. S. Navy during World War II both the Atlantic and Pacific.
He is survived by his Sister-in law Shirley Davis and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elvry and Jacob; and two sisters, Dellita Manos and Bessie Johnson.
Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Rachel Johns of Linesville Presbyterian Church officiating.
