Edward B. Jackson, Jr., 88, formerly of Lake Road in Atlantic lived at Rolling Fields of Conneautville for 2 years, passed away Saturday August 3, 2013, at his residence.

Born in Pittsburgh September 10, 1924 he was a son of the late Edward B. Jackson, Sr. and Anna Mary Dix Jackson.  He married Jean Meyers May 1966; she preceded him in death May 1988.
He enlisted in the United States Army in October 1942; he spent all of World War II in Europe as a combat infantryman.  He served 3 years in Japan Occupational Duty, served 2 years in Korea during the Korean Conflict.   He was discharged in April 1953 with the rank of master sergeant.  Ed received many medals and citations during his military career; among them are European African Middle Western Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, World War II victory medal, and combat infantry badge with star, Korean Service Medal, Silver Star, and Purple Heart.
He retired from the United States Steel Research Center in Monroeville.
Ed loved to hunt fish and play golf.
Survivors include a brother, Richard Jackson and his wife, Evelyn, of Atlantic; a nephew, Douglas Jackson and his wife Hannah; a niece, Kimberly Adsit and her husband Chris and their children Aaron and Hannah.
In addition to his parents and wife; He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary McMullen, Dorothy Lauth, and Marie Yrandraigo.
As per his request, cremation was chosen.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US Highway 6, Linesville.
