Edward G. (Pat) Roxberry, 82, of Linesville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville, where he had resided for the past three years.

Born March 16, 1931, in Linesville, he was the son of Edward and Wilda Garwood Roxberry.

He graduated from Linesville High School in 1950.  Pat then served our country in the United States Army from 1952 until he was honorably discharged in 1954 during the Korean Conflict.

For over 25 years, he worked as a clerk for Madigan Pharmacy in Linesville.  He had worked for ten years for Utility Constructors also in Linesville.  After retirement, he worked part time for Eckerd’s and Rite Aid Pharmacies.  He had also worked for William H. Houghton Funeral Home for over 20 years and Harold W. Coleman Jr. Funeral Home in Linesville for over 10 years.

Pat was a life member of the Linesville United Methodist Church where he was very involved and had served as head usher for many years.

He was a 50 year member and Past Master of the Pine Masonic Lodge #498 of Linesville.   He was also a 50 year member of the Zem Zem Shriners in Erie and the Valley of New Castle Consistory.   Also, he was a member of the Linesville American Legion Post 462.

For over 30 years, Pat was the secretary of the Linesville Cemetery Association.  He loved to decorate for his church and various organizations in Linesville and especially loved decorating for Christmas.

Survivors include a sister, Suzanne Blood and her husband, Russ, of Linesville; a brother, Thomas Roxberry and his wife, Judy, of Linesville; three nieces, Stacey Stanko of Centerville, Virginia, Missy Hanson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Mindy Blankenship and her husband, Chris, of Sterling, Virginia; three nephews, Todd Roxberry and his wife, Stacie, of Butler, Steven Blood and his wife, Monica, of Linesville and Scott Blood of Linesville; and three great-nieces, two great-nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sara Roxberry.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Linesville United Methodist Church, 334 W. Erie St., with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton officiating.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 215, or to the Linesville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 86, both of Linesville, PA  16424.
