Ellie Ruth Goggins

Ellie Ruth Goggins, 90, of Adamsville, Pennsylvania formerly of Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at UPMC Horizon in Greenville.
Born May 1, 1922 in Jasper, Alabama, she was the daughter of O.B. and Roberta Brasseale Hall. She married Joseph Glen Goggins Sr. who preceded her in death.
She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Ellie had attended Dora High School. She was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Survivors include three children; Joseph G. Goggins Jr. of Alberta, Alabama, Paula Winkle and her husband, James, of Adamsville, Pa and James Goggins and his wife, Pamela, of Quinton, Alabama; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Maxwell Scott Hall and his wife, Lou, of Sumiton; Alabama, five sisters, Sarah Kate Troup of Sumiton, Janie Frances McCurdy of Clermont, Florida, Retha Parmer of Shelby, Alabama, Zelma Trotter of Cocoa, Florida and Norma Elise Haslam of Roswell, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Norman (Benny) Goggins, and the following siblings, Wilson Brasseale Hall, James Baxter Hall, Hugh Hall, Glenn Hall, George Hall, Jack Hall and Roberta (Trudy) Jones.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to7 p.m. at the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, 5203 Hollis Goodwin Rd., Dora, Alabama.
A funeral service and committal will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Liberty Cemetery.
