Florence C. O’Donnell, 101, of Espyville, went to be with the Good Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, at St. Paul’s in Greenville, where she had resided the past two years.
Born October 27, 1913, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Guy and Catherine Hinchberger Flinn. She married James W. O’Donnell on June 26, 1935 in Pittsburgh. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1984.
Florence was of the Episcopalian faith. She worked as a secretary for Rohrich Cadillac in Pittsburgh for 20 years and retired in 1975.
She was a member of the Espyville Senior Center and a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Florence was one of the oldest members of the Red Hats Society. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Survivors include a son, James W. O’Donnell and his wife, JoAnn of Murrysville; three grandchildren, James W O’Donnell III and his wife, Sherri, of Blairsville, Mary Ulisse and her husband, David, of Greensburg, and John O’Donnell and his wife, Mary, of Blairsville; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, John C. O’Donnell and Richard S. O’Donnell, and two brothers, Guy C. Flinn and John Howard Flinn.
As per her wishes, cremation was chosen.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Blairsville, 35 West Campbell Street, Blairsville, Pa 15717.
Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s name to the American Cancer Society.
