Gary W. Agnew, age 75, of Sheffield, PA passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 in Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.

He was born July 6, 1941 in Meadville son of William and Marian (Barbour) Agnew. On June 8, 1963 he married Phyllis Agnew, she passed away May 23, 1986.  He was a 1959 graduate of Linesville High School and a 1962 graduate of Penn State Behrend where he received his electrical engineering degree.

Gary was employed as a Design Engineer for General Electric for 36 years. He was a member of East Minister Presbyterian Church, Erie. He was a member of Sheffield Rod and Gun Club, Siebenbuerger Club, Marionville VFW, and West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, casinos, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions play.   Gary was a handyman and could fix most anything, he truly enjoyed spending time at his house in the mountains.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Duska of Erie; a son, Craig Agnew and his wife Michelle of Sagamore Hills, OH; a sister, Linda Bennett of Meadville; long-time companion, Donna Hollenbeck of Meadville; four grandchildren, Emily Duska, Rachel Duska, Michael Duska, and Matthew Agnew.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a nephew, Chad Bennett.

The family would like to give a special Thank you to Rehab and TCU at Grove Street Hospital and to Marquette Hospice House for all the care they provided for Gary.

As per his request, cremation was chosen and there will be no services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Marquette Hospice House, 13456 North Wayland Road, Meadville, PA 16335.  Arrangements under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.
