Genevieve Mildred (Jen) Wheeler, 87, of Linesville, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, surrounded by her family, at her lifelong home.
Born January 3, 1929, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Dale and Catherine Penfield Bollard. She married E. Merwin Wheeler on March 24, 1951, at their home and where married 61 years. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2012.
She attended Linesville Schools and graduated in 1947.
Jen was born to be a lifelong dairy farmer, and along with Merwin and their sons owned and operated Wheeler Farms in Conneaut Township. Along with milking she enjoyed raising replacement heifers and taming various bulls used on their farm. When time allowed there was gardening, needlepoint and baking for her family. Jen attended many sporting games that her sons and grandchildren played.
Survivors include three sons, Gary M. Wheeler and his wife, Marilisa, of Hartstown, Glenn Wheeler and his wife, Julie, and Mark Wheeler; a daughter-in-law, Mary Wheeler all of Linesville; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Bruce Wheeler; a daughter –in-law, Marianne Wheeler; a great-granddaughter, Myla Elizabeth Shelatz; and a sister, Mabel Bollard.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville with Pastor Edward Huntley officiating.
Burial will be in Conneaut Center Cemetery.
