George Joseph Hill Jr., 59, of Meadville, formerly of Espyville, Pa, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at his residence.

Born February 3, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of George and Linda Nocera Hill.  He was also the step-son of Anthony J. Diana.

He graduated from East High School in Youngstown and then attended Youngstown State University.

George recently retired as a self-employed electrician and handyman.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Italian Civic Club both in Meadville.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Anne Seaman and her husband, Bob, of Andover; a niece, Geniene Hankey and her husband, Thomas, of Youngstown; a nephew, Thomas Chizmar Jr. of Lakewood, Ohio; two great-nephews, Anson and Aidan Hankey; his former wife, Dora Hill; and many close cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father .

George loved the Pymatuning Lake area and convinced his step-father and mother to purchase a lot in Tuttle Allotment for his graduation gift.  Eventually they put a home on the property and moved there from Youngstown.  George was the “life of the party”.  His family was the most important part of his life.  He spent a great deal of time with his family and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 6210 State Route 85, Andover, Ohio.
