Herbert Glenn Grinnell, 74, of Espyville and Conneautville, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015, at St. Paul’s in Greenville.
Born February 11, 1941, in Greenwood Township, he was the son of Melvin and Mary Klingensmith Grinnell.
He graduated from Conneaut Valley High School. Glenn then served our country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.
For over 25 years, he worked for True Temper in Ashtabula, Ohio.
He enjoyed motorcycles, horses and fishing with his grandson, Ryan. Glenn loved his Basset Hounds. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy (Henretty) Grinnell; three sons, Tony Petergal of Conneaut Lake, Mark Grinnell and his wife, Brenda, of Bridgeport, Texas, Ned Grinnell and his wife, Sheila, of Saegertown; a daughter, Cherly Petergal of Conneautville; four granddaughters; three grandsons; four great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a brother, Herman Grinnell and his wife, Cindy, of Atlantic; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harvey and Larry Grinnell and a sister.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
The funeral service will follow the calling at noon on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 will be conducted after the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Beaver Center Cemetery, Springboro.
