Herbert (Herb) D. Inman

Herbert D. (Herb) Inman, 93, of Espyville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born September 24, 1930, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Herbert E. and Hazel (Bloom) Inman.  He married Barb Laporis on April 28, 1956.

Herb served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  For 25 years, he worked as a firefighter in Boardman, Ohio.

He was a member of St. Philip Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 6037 for many years.  Herb enjoyed golfing and was an avid car enthusiast.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Barb Inman; daughter, Cindy (Dave) Slagle; son, Wayne (Nancy) Inman; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Deborah Carson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer Street, Linesville with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church before the Mass.

Burial with full military honors will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
