Hugh Hervey Walker, 66, of Linesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Meadville Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born June 8, 1950, in Meadville, he was the son of Robert and Patricia Woods Walker.

Hugh was a 1968 graduate from Linesville-Conneaut-Summit High School.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1975.

In his younger years, he worked in construction.  He later worked at the Meadville Medical Center and for Greenleaf Corporation in Saegertown.

Hugh was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.

He was a philosopher.   A kind soul, Hugh was a self-taught artist with a beautiful mind.  He expressed his life through colorful paintings and drawings.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia A. Walker of Linesville; four siblings, Kathleen Duvnjak and her husband, Pierre, of Paris, France, William L. Walker and his wife, Diana, of Linesville, Judy Yeager and her husband, Michael, of Athens, Ohio, and James R. Walker and his wife, Ellen, of Oakmont; three nieces, Corinne, Molly and Amy; and five nephews, David, Eric, Daniel, Justin and Joe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Walker on October 10, 1993.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Chris Hamlett as Celebrant.

The family will receive friends prior to the Mass from 10 until 11 a.m. at St. Philip Church.

Burial will be private in St. Philip Cemetery.
