Jacob I. Munoz, 23, of Espyville, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born August 1, 1990, in Watsonville, California, he was a son of Michele Lynn Rakijasic Munoz; she preceded him in death on July 4, 2012.
He graduated from Linesville High School in 2009. For five years, he has served our country in the U.S. Army Reserve 475 th Quartermaster Company in Meadville. He had been working at AutoZone in Meadville for the last year.
Jacob was a member of the Meadville YMCA and enjoyed physical fitness. In his spare time, he loved working on cars and motorcycle. He was a very active member in a Subaru Club.
Survivors include his grandmother, Doris Kelley and her husband, Richard; a brother, John Bumbas and his wife, Dana; two nieces, Celina and Siera Bumbas all of Espyville; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Michele Lynn Munoz; and his grandfather, Frank Raijasic Jr.; his great-grandparents, Andrew and Sophie Kuriatnyk and Frank and Anna Rakijasic.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Father Chris Hamlett, pastor of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio.
