Jeanne Elizabeth Ball, 89, of Hartstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at her residence.

Born May 19, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Manley and Rhoda Hathaway Pulleyn.  She married Ralph W. Ball on August 5, 1943, in Warrendale, Pennsylvania.  He preceded her in death on January 12, 2000.

She was a graduate of Mars High School in 1941.  She later furthered her education and graduated in 1965, from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Jeanne was a loving and devoted homemaker.  She was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Greenville where she enjoyed playing the piano.  In the past she had served as the choir director at Grace Baptist Church in Greenville.  She loved music and gave piano lessons for many years.

She was known to many as the Avon Lady.  In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and quilting.  She had made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include six children, Rhoda Marie Adams and her husband, William, of Linesville, David Ralph Ball and his wife, Sharon, of Hartstown, James Leon Ball and his wife, Barbara, of Hadley, Ruth Elizabeth Suich and her husband, Ernest, of Esmond, North Dakota, Timothy Arthur Ball and his wife, Lorretta, of Hartstown, and Rachel Anne Rangru of Hartstown; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Mary Pulleyn; and two brothers, Charles and Richard Pulleyn.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Rd., Greenville, with Pastor Todd Jaussen and Pastor Don Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery in Adamsville.
