Jeannette Bauer Rynd, 88, of Espyville, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at UPMC Horizon in Greenville.

Born in North Shenango Township on May 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Herman and Leta Linn Bauer.  She married Charles E. Rynd Sr. on September 23, 1944; he preceded her in death on May 5, 2002.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover, Ohio with the practice of the profession of her Christian faith a life-long personal effort.  She was employed from 1970 through 1987 as a medical bookkeeper.  Jeanette enjoyed fishing, crocheting, story writing and baking.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Charles E. Rynd Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of St. Marys, Diane E. Rynd of Espyville, Gretchen Sassi and her husband, Douglas, of Still Pond, Maryland, Nina Whitnah and her husband, John, of Simsbury, Connecticut, Michael Rynd, and his wife, Julie Thorne, of Baltimore, Maryland; her grandchildren including, Scott Rynd and his wife, Nancy, Amy Straub and her husband, Peter, Stephen Rynd, Sebastian Sassi and his wife, Brooke Hefner, Raphael Sassi, Daniel Sassi and his wife, Lexi, Lauren Whitnah, Meredith Whitnah, Michael Whitnah and his wife Joanna; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Wendell B. Bauer, and two sisters, Florence Rhoades and Nina McCreary.

Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. John Whitnah, son-in-law, officiating.

Burial will be in Espyville Cemetery.
