John Anthony Pustorino, 76, of Espyville passed away at UPMC Horizon in Greenville on October 11, 2013, after a courageous four month battle with cancer.
John was born July 22, 1937 in Sewickley, PA., to the late Anna and Antonio Pustorino.
After graduating Ambridge High School in 1954, John joined the US Air Force and became a Helicopter Mechanic traveling with the Air Force extensively, including tour in Christmas Island and Vietnam. He left the Air Force in 1959 and became a salesman. His career included being the top national salesman for Articat Snowmobiles and a top national salesman for Ford Motor Company.
He loved to travel, do crossword puzzles, enjoyed meeting all types of people and was a loving, caring husband and father who enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, motor cycling and many other fun activities with his children. One of his pleasures was entertaining and his home was always full of laughter and enjoyment. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Marsha; a son John A. Pustorino, Jr. of Caldwell, Idaho; a daughter Donna M. DuPuis of Stanwood, Washington; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two aunts; and a number of cousins.
As per his request, cremation took place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Sunday, October 20 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, Pa 16125.
