Joseph P. Clausen, 66, of Linesville passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Meadville Medical Center due to complications of Covid. Born April 22, 1955 in Geneva, he was the son of Paul and Jean (McClure) Clausen.
He was a 1973 graduate of Linesville Conneaut Summit High School. Joe then served our country in the United States Army from 1973 until 1977 and was stationed in Germany. For 31 years, he was employed by Werner Enterprise as a truck driver.
Joe enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and was an avid sports fan. He cherished his grandchildren and his faithful canine companions, Hercules and Athena.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cherryll (Henderson) Clausen, who he married on June 25, 1994 at the Linesville First Baptist Church; three sons, Robert Durovey (Stacie) of North Kingsville, Ohio, Matthew Durovey (Allison) of Savannah, Georgia and Ryan Durovey (Kelsey) of Harmonsburg; four grandchildren, Aaron Kirk, Tyler Rutkowski, Tyler Durovey and Alec Durovey; four sisters, Karen Bean (Randy), Karol Tau (Chester), Kristy Bowersox (John), and Sue Thomas (Earl), two brothers, James P. Clausen of Linesville and Paul N. Clausen of Ellwood, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John P. Clausen.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 24 from 5 to 7 at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville. A funeral service will follow on Monday at 7 p.m. with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Full military honors will follow.
