June L. (Litwiler) Bennett

June L. Bennett, 97, of Linesville, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville.

She was born June 17, 1924 in Linesville, the daughter of Hugo and Gladys (Woodard) Litwiler.  She married Harold E. Bennett on September 16, 1944.  He preceded her in death on November 18, 2006.

June was of the Methodist faith.  She was a graduate of Linesville High School in 1942.  In her younger years, she had worked at the Linesville Post Office.  June retired from the Crawford County Courthouse Voting Registration Department after many years of employment there.

She was very active in the Republican Party.  She was involved in the Linesville Historical Society.   She also had helped at the Linesville Herald Newspaper.  June loved playing the piano and played many times at the Travelers Inn.  She also enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Geraldine Bollard; two brothers, Norman and Hugo Litwiler; a nephew, Jerry Bollard; and a niece, Judy Bollard Lucas.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Linesville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Zem Zem Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, Pa. 16505.
