June Louise Morgan, 88, of Linesville, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at her residence.
Born on May 11, 1930, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of William Maxwell and Stella Linn Morgan.
June worked at Toteline for a number of years. She then owned and operated her own beauty shop on the main street in Linesville for over 40 years.
She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church. June along with Charlotte Kimple started the Miss Linesville and Miss Waterfowl and ran them for many years. She also was the first woman to become a lifetime member of the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department. June was the ambulance chief for seven years.
Survivors include her daughter, Colette MacLees; three grandchildren, Melody Harris, Rebekah Legare, Cory Morgan; her great-grandchildren, Evan Harris, Josie McHugh, Toby, Lakotah, Mahayla, London and Phoenix Legare, Willow Higgins, and Sophia, Charis and Avalon Morgan; and a sister, Shirley White.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Richard MacLees; a sister, Lois Lockhart and her husband, James; a brother, William R. Morgan and his, wife, Betty; a brother-in-law, Henry White; and a nephew, Tommy White.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Lawton of the Linesville United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 55, Linesville, Pa. 16424.
