Laura Mary Enie, 89, of Elizabethtown, Pa formerly of Linesville, passed away, Monday, December 17, 2012, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.

Born January 27, 1923 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Russel Trew and Anna Mayer.  She married John Daniel Enie on December 27, 1941.

On a summer day Laura could be found passionately rooting for her favorite little league team at Linesville Field or cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates on television with the neighborhood kids.

In her spared time, she enjoyed sewing.  Making crafts for her family brought her great joy, along with decorating her sun-porch for all of the holidays.

These little things brought more happiness than she ever knew. There are many, of several generations who will miss her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years John Enie; a daughter, Carol D. Willis and her husband, Carl, of Schnecksville, Pa; a son, Mark J. Enie and his wife, Marion, of Higganum, Connecticut.; three grandchildren, Candy Wingate and her husband, Don, of Laurys Station, Pa, Faith Reese and her husband, John, of Jackson, New Jersey and Cathy-Jo Kanterman and her husband, Rob, of Cranford, New Jersey; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother Joe Mayer of Conneaut Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia Vallaci.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling hours will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
