Leola (Lee) Mable (Penfield) Blood

Leola (Lee) Mable Blood, 92, of Linesville passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville, where she had resided the last 2 1/2 years.
Born February 27, 1925, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Chauncey and Neva Dodge Penfield.  She married Carroll U. Blood Jr. on May 22, 1943, in Linesville.  He preceded her in death on June 17, 2005.
She was a graduate of Linesville High School.  Leola was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church on Center Road, Linesville.  She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  She and her husband owned and operated a family dairy farm in Conneaut Township from 1946 until 1976.
She enjoyed crocheting, canning and loved flowers.  Leola enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include, six children, David L. Blood and his wife, Arlene, of Mentor, Ohio, Linda L. Guerrieri of Irwin, Tommy C. Blood of Worland, Wyoming, Patty W. Whitcomb and her husband, David, of Taylors, South Carolina, James A. Blood of Linesville, and Randal E. Blood and his wife, Deborah, of Mentor, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Penfield and his wife, Barb, of Linesville; a sister, Ruth Wetherington of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Josh Blood; three sisters, Josephine Repko, Helen Phelps and Betty Gottwalles; and six brothers, Allan, Earl, Harry, Clifford, Victor, and Stuart Penfield.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will follow the calling at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Dr. David Whitcomb, son-in-law, pastor of Community Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina officiating.
Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
