Linda Mae Warren, 68, of Conneautville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 12, 1952, in Meadville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Flaugh) Leighty.
Linda was a graduate of Linesville High School. She attended Sharon School of Nursing and received her nursing diploma.
She then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 until she resigned her commissioned office as a captain in 1985. From 1973 until 1977 Linda was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth, Texas. She met her husband, Michael, there and they were married on May 29, 1976. She was transferred to Scott Air Force Base in Southern Illinois from 1977 until 1981 and then served at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1981 until 1985.
Linda worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia from 1985 until 2005 where she also earned her BSN in nursing. In 2005, she moved back to Harmonsburg and worked at Sharon Regional Hospital.
She was a member of the Harmonsburg Woman’s Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Nurses Association.
Linda enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and cherished her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Warren; two daughters, Jessica Machinsky and her husband, Richard, of Meadville and Erin Darby and her husband, Mark, of Harmonsburg; five grandchildren, Zoe, Noah, Emma and Fiona Darby and Miles Machinsky; a brother, Charles Leighty and his wife, Connie, of Conneautville.
As per her wishes, no services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
