Mary Jo Foust, 64, of Espyville, passed away after a short illness, on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown.
Born August 11, 1951, in Linesville, she was the daughter of Frank Coulter and Doris Splitstone Mendenhall.
She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School in 1969. For 30 years, Mary Jo had worked for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in Fairview. She served as a minister for ten years at the Presbyterian Church in Rome, Ohio.
In her spare time, Mary Jo enjoyed crafting. She was involved in several prayer groups. She loved spending time with her cat Queeks.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Schafer and his wife, Connie, of Georgetown, Delaware and Ed Mendenhall of Cortland, Ohio; a sister, Lea Consla of Espyville; twelve nieces and nephews, Ami Vanderhoff, Carrie Papendorf, Brian Van Guilder, Robert Schafer, Stacey Schafer, Travis Schafer, Matthew Schafer, Ricky Schafer, Kimberly Schafer-Newcomer, Sara Schafer, Linda Mae Mendenhall, and Travis Mendenhall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Tommy Ridgaway.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the North Shenango Presbyterian Church, 10377 Church Rd., Espyville, Pa, with Pastor Mary Kay Crom officiating.
