Mary R. Herman, 65, of Hartstown, departed onto her next journey on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Magee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born October 24, 1949, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Lewis and Rosalie Dupal Herman.
She was a 1968 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. She worked for Andover Industries in shipping and receiving from 1968 until they closed in 2005.
Mary was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville. She was a member of the PA Riding and Driving Club. She loved her horses and Australian Blue Heeler Dogs. For over 35 years, she showed horses at many local shows and fairs. Mary liked driving her big Ford trucks.
Survivors include two sisters, Jane Collins and her husband, James, of Pierpont, Ohio and Roberta Lahti and her husband, Robert, of Williamsfield, Ohio; a brother, Tom Herman and his wife, Sue, of Linesville; a step-brother, Dale Morrel of Greenville; two step-sisters, Paula Rickert and her husband, Bill, of Reynolds and Maxine Parrish and her husband, Kevin, of Charlottesville, Virginia; 16 nieces and nephews; 26 grand nieces and nephews; a great-grandniece; many cousins; and many good horse people.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and John Herman.
As per Mary’s request, there will be no calling hours and a celebration of her life will be held at the North Shenango Community Center, 2857 Route 285, Espyville on Saturday, November 14 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.
