Merlin E. Williams

Merlin E. Williams, 78, of Greenville PA, passed away December 31, 2016 at his home.
He was born January 31, 1938, in Greenville, the son of Wayne and Nora Greenlee Williams.
Merlin was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed coon hunting, as well as working with horses, especially his favorite team, Prince and Charlie. He attended livestock auctions often, which he also enjoyed.
He had a special relationship with his grandson Rich and his wife, Malerie, as well as his daughter Judy and granddaughter, Michelle, who cared for him in his last months. He is also survived by one brother, Fred Williams of Atlantic; two sisters, Sarah Mowery of Florida and Della DeArment of Franklin; two daughters; Jody and Judy; seven grandchildren; Bob, Jon, Rich, Michelle, Daniel, Lori, Katie; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
A private burial will be held at his farm Monday, January 2. A small service will be held at Merlin's home at 11480 County Line Rd, Greenville PA 16125, on Wednesday January 4 from 4 until 6 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
