Michael Johnson, 90, of Espyville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at his residence.

He was born October 7, 1922, in Brownsville, Pa.  He married Mary Keenan on February 29, 1984 in Eastlake, Ohio.

From 1943 until 1946 he served our country in the Navy Seabees during World War II.

Michael owned and operated Comet Construction.

He was a member of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842 and the Linesville American Legion, Post 462.

He was of the Catholic faith.  Michael was very hardworking and in his spare time enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife Mary Johnson; two daughters, Theresa Sokolowski and Beckie Hart and her husband, Brian; two sons, Kevin Johnson and Joey Johnson; five grandchildren, Jennifer Denn, Dawn Gardiner, Lizzie Hart, Addie Hart and Michael Hart; a sister, Elizabeth Loncaric; his mother-in-law, Mae Keenan; Aunt Evie; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Johnson and a granddaughter, Sonja Johnson.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling hours will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral service will follow on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Dennis Veltri, of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, officiating.   Full military honors will be provided at 2 p.m. on Sunday by the Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa 16335 or to the family in care of the funeral home.
