Mildred Alice Thayer, 83, of Linesville, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Meadville Medical Center.

Born June 8, 1932, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the daughter of Victor and Leona Bacon McMillin.

She married John (Calvin) Thayer on May 5, 1951, at the Linesville First Baptist Church.  He preceded her in death on March 18, 2011.

Mildred was a 1950 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School.  She had worked as a waitress and store clerk.   Mildred was a loving and devoted homemaker.

She was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church.  Mildred was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Center Road Grange.

She enjoyed sewing and was famous for her peanut butter pie.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, John Thayer and his wife, Cyndie, of Linesville, Jane Brown and her husband, Tom, of Linesville and Gary Thayer and his wife, Robin, of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren, Robert Thayer, Amy Haeck, Brian Brown, Jodie Blood, Tiffany Conley, and Kelly Thayer; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,; brothers, Glen, Robert, Francis, Rolland and Mike; and a niece, who was raised with them, Evelyn Richards.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling hours will be on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Art Barnes of Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be private in Conneaut Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Linesville First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 387, Linesville, Pa 16424.
