Nancy Ann (Henretty) Grinnell

Nancy Ann Grinnell, 78, of Espyville, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at St. Paul’s in Greenville where she had resided the past year.

She was born November 8, 1937, in Meadville, the daughter of Rodney and Helen Lasher Henretty.  She married Herbert Glenn Grinnell on February 7, 1969; he preceded her in death on December 28, 2015.

In 1955, she graduated from Northwestern High School in Albion.

Nancy had worked as a cashier at the Meadville Walmart for many years.  She had also worked at Premix in Andover, Ohio and Toteline now Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company in Linesville.

She loved horses and Basset Hounds.  Nancy was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.  She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Petergal of Conneaut Lake, Mark Grinnell and his wife, Brenda, of Bridgeport, Texas, Ned Grinnell and his wife, Sheila, of Saegertown; a daughter, Cherly Petergal of Conneautville; four granddaughters; three grandsons; five great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a sister, Mary Huston and her husband, Royce, of Albion; a brother, Rodney Henretty of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herbert Grinnell.

Calling hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

The funeral service will follow the calling hours at noon on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be private in Beaver Center Cemetery, Springboro.
