Nancy J. Plesniak 71, of Linesville passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Born April 1, 1950, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Joseph and Isabelle (Tomlins) Dean. She married Walter Plesniak Jr. on January 15, 1970 at the Port Vue Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2019.
Nancy graduated from South Allegheny High School in Liberty Boro, Pennsylvania.
She worked in food service at Duquesne University, Conneaut Area School System and at Ray’s Market Place. She was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club, the Linesville American Legion Post 462 and the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Port Vue. She attended the Linesville First Baptist Church.
Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. She was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. She loved relaxing on her porch with her dog, Lucy.
Survivors include a son, Joe Plesniak and his wife, Beverly, of Linesville; two grandsons, Joey Plesniak and Jacob Plesniak and his girlfriend, Antigone Kellogg; a brother, Joe Dean; her sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s, Betsy Titmus and her husband, Ernie, of Greenville, Rose Johnson, and her husband, Randy, of Kooskia, Idaho, Paul Plesniak and his girlfriend, Mary Kurtz, of Munhall, Don Plesniak of McKeesport, Joe Plesniak and his wife, Deb, of White Oak, Mary Ann Lust and her husband, Don, of McKeesport, and Steve Plesniak and his wife, Sue, of North Huntingdon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Alfred and George Dean.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. Additional calling will be Sunday before the service from noon to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
