Nina Jean Minnigh, 89, of Linesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville.

Born December 9, 1924, in Linesville, she was the daughter of Donald and Lola Young Mackay.  She married Howard Headley on November 7, 1942, and they had two daughters, Vivian and Patricia; he preceded her in death February 18, 1989.  Jean married Robert Minnigh on June 7, 2003 in Jamestown, and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2010.

Jean graduated from Linesville High School in 1942 where she was a star basketball player.  She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church.

Jean was a loving and devoted homemaker who enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, cooking, playing cards with friends, decorating her home, and entertaining family.  She also was a talented artist who had a special love for animals and nature.

Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Smith and her husband, Bill, of DuBois and Patricia Bianchi and her husband, Rudy, of Louisville, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Jacquie Waldrip, Joe Bianchi, and Andrea Lopez all of Colorado, Paul Vargas, Angie Frederick, and Justin Smith all of Pennsylvania, Lisa Pirro of New Jersey, and Dominic Bianchi of Washington D.C.; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Mackay and his wife, Glenda, of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and two sisters, Rosemary (Flap) Martin and Doris Myers.

Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Linesville United Methodist Church, 334 West Erie Street, Linesville, with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton officiating.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
