Nona K. (Rudler) Smith
October 31, 1923 — January 6, 2015
Nona K. Smith, 91, of Linesville, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Wesbury Retirement Community in Meadville where she had resided the past 2 years.
Born October 31, 1923, she was the daughter of Kay and Anna Rudler. She married Charles Marsh on July 29, 1944 and he preceded her in death. In 1994, she married Arden Smith who passed away June 23, 2008.
She worked as a teller and later as bank manager of Merchant Bank and later Pennsylvania Bank and Trust in Linesville.
Nona was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting bottles, postcards and stamps.
Survivors include a son, David Marsh and his wife, Nyla, of Spartansburg; four grandchildren, Andi Marie Risjan of Cambridge Springs, Michael Marsh and his wife, Tracie, of North Carolina, Lori Marin and her husband, Troy, of Meadville, and Keith Marsh and his wife, Carrie, of Spartansburg; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Dolores Smith of Linesville and Linda James and her husband, Richard, of Linesville; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; an unofficial adopted daughter, Betty Evanchec and her husband, Steve, of Linesville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Rudler of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Martin and Howard Rudler.
Calling hours will be Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will be held following the calling hours 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Art Barnes of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.
