Nora (Gayle) Salsberry Calladine, 92, of Linesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born June 12, 1922, in Nineveh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Milo and Ida Smith Gray Salsberry.  She married Fred A. Calladine on June 23, 1945 in East Pike Run Township, Washington County, Pa.  He preceded her in death on February 11, 2003.

Gayle was affiliated with the Linesville Pilgrim Holiness Church.

For ten years, she worked at Molded Fiber Glass Company in Linesville.  She owned and operated Calladine’s Pizza Shop in Linesville for four years.  She enjoyed gardening and loved children.  Her family meant everything to her and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Survivors include three daughters, Lily Marie Bish of Linesville, Mary (Pat) Gehman and her husband, James, of Linesville and Ida Mae Stewart and her husband, William Lee, of Conneautville; a son, Fred A. (Bud) Calladine and his wife, Judy of Clayton, New York; 15 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandsons; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Cecil Calladine; a son-in-law Walter Bish; two brothers, Clinton and John Salsberry; five half-sisters, Bessie Berl, Flora McClelland, Alma Lohr, Wilma Dobsha and Gladys Roach; and six half-brothers, Ray and Oscar Salsberry and Merle, Willard, Tom and Willis Gray.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

A funeral and committal service will be held at noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Isaac Clark, former pastor of the Linesville Pilgrim Holiness Church, officiating.

Burial will be private in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Meadville.
