Patricia Anne (Patti and Momma Hoss) Hochschild, 53, of Linesville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2014, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born January 7, 1961, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Joseph A. and Janet Miller Balint.

She was a 1979 graduate of St. John High School in Ashtabula.  Patti moved to Linesville in 1994 where she spent time camping and playing horseshoes with her favorite cousins Paddy and Too Huffman.

Patti was an auxiliary member of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 and an auxiliary member of the American Legion.  Also, she was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville.

She was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and recently took a trip to Miami to watch them play and also swam with the dolphins.  This was a lifelong dream that she got to achieve.

Patti was a social butterfly and loved to be with her family and friends.  She was laughable and huggable, you either loved her or not and there was no in between.  She was so proud of her son Cory and would have given him the world if she could.  Patti will be remembered most by her smile and her ability to make others laugh.  She loved her dogs Chewy, Louie and Sabrina who were also her kids.

Survivors include the father of her children, Michael P. Hochschild; her loving son, Cory Michael Paul Hochschild; her wonderful mother, Janet (Balint) Gallagher; two fun brothers, Joseph T. Balint and Phil J. Balint and his wife, Pam; two stepbrothers, Dan and Bill Gallagher; and three stepsisters, Kelly, Kim and Kathy.

She was preceded in death by her loving son, A.J. Hochschild; her dad, Joseph Balint; two sisters, April and Cheryl; her stepfather, Bill Gallagher; her dog, Lady; and two cats, Hank and Kady.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton, pastor of the Linesville and Harmonsburg United Methodist Churches officiating.

Private burial will be in Gageville Cemetery in Ashtabula, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 823, Linesville, Pa 16424.
