Patricia Lou Morrison, 78, of Linesville, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born January 17, 1935, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Howard and Eleanor Van Tassel Glessman. She married James C. Morrison on April 20, 1957 at the Conneautville Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2005.
Patricia was a 1952 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School. She then graduated from Thiel College in Greenville.
She was a loving and devoted homemaker.
She was a member of the Linesville Presbyterian Church and was a Sunday school teacher in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
Patricia was a Past Matron of the former Linesville Diamond Chapter 120 Order of the Eastern Star now the Albion Chapter 22. She was a life member of the Linesville Historical Society. Along with her daughter, Sharon, she chaired the Linesville Waterfowl parade for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Jacobs and her husband, Stanley, of Linesville and Lou Ann Sherry and her husband, Steve, of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Suzanne Glessman of Erie; a brother, James Glessman and his wife, Patty, of Houston, Texas; two nephews, Brian and Chad Glessman of Houston, Texas; and a dear friend, Bonnie York of Erie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James C. Morrison.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will be held following the calling hours at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Rachel Johns, of the Linesville Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 235, Linesville, Pa 16424.
Also, the family would like to express their appreciation to her caregivers, Kathy Fredericks and Rae Ann Davis, the late Aline Lawrason, and to Lakeland Hospice for the loving care and kindness they provided for Patricia.
