Patricia Agnes Dowling Reynolds, 84, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born on December 13, 1939, to the late Arthur and Hermine Dowling of Erie, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Dowling, and her sons, Andrew Spear, John (Lisa) Reynolds, and Dan (Wendy) Reynolds, as well as her grandchildren Justin (Rebekah), Blake (Meagan) Christopher, Kaylee, and great-granddaughter Boston Blake Reynolds.
Patricia graduated from St. Benedict Academy High School in 1957 and earned her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in 1960. Patricia was also active in civil rights organizations and helped to write a development grant for the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center in Erie. Patricia worked as a psychiatric nurse at St. Vincent Hospital.
She spent much of her life as a Conneaut Lake resident. She was a real estate agent and owned the Ski-Tow/Irish Cove Motel for nearly 40 years. Patricia even worked as a visiting nurse in Pittsburgh when CLP struggled to bring in visitors. She cherished the relationships formed through the Irish Cove and enjoyed counseling friends in need. Patricia was a Conneaut Lake Area Business Association member of the Kiwanis Club.
Patricia was a firm believer in her Catholic faith. She enjoyed Western movies and cooking shows on TV. She loved animals and rescued numerous dogs and cats throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Our Lady, Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake, with Father David Carter as Celebrant. Visitation will occur before Mass, beginning at 10:00 am and lasting until 12:00 pm. at the church. A committal service will also take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery, 3325 West Lake Road, Erie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa 16335 or the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, 6101 E. Lake Road, Erie, Pa 16511.
