Patricia Ann (Woods) Walker

Patricia Ann Walker (nee Woods), of Linesville, passed away December 19, 2019, at the age of 94 at the Rolling Fields care facility in Conneautville.  Born June 5, 1925, in McKeesport Pa., her family moved to Linesville, Pa. when she was a teenager.  She graduated from Linesville High School in 1943.  She married her high school sweetheart, Robert L. Walker, on June 6, 1946, after his return from World War II.

She was the mother of five children, Kathy Duvnjak (Pierre) of Cavalaire sur Mer, France, Hugh Walker of Linesville, William Walker (Diana) of Linesville, Judith Yeager (Mike) of Athens, Ohio and James Walker (Jonnie Viakley) of Oakmont. Pa.  She had eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Dr. Robert M. Woods of Greenville and a sister, Joan “Bunny” Mulvey Maffey of Sharpsville. Her husband, Bob, and her son, Hugh, preceded her in death.

Devout in her Christian faith, often telling her children to “offer it up” when they had a complaint about something, she was a lifelong member of Saint Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.  She and her husband, a lawyer and Crawford County judge, made many social connections in and around Crawford County, yet family life was always central for her.  She had five brothers and sisters, all of whom raised sizable families in around the Linesville area, making the numerous Woods family reunions and holiday gatherings joyous and well-populated affairs.

Hours for visitation are Sunday, December 22 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, December 23 at 11:00 A.M., at St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St, Linesville with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
